12 years in telecom and still going…

Telecommunications is not for the faint of heart… so it’s a good thing Michael Murphy is always one to rise to a challenge. Michael has spent 12 years in telecom sales and management, with 8 years working directly with dark fiber. He has extensive first hand experience with network planning and implementation as well as forming and cultivating strategic alliances and channel partners throughout the nation.

Michael has negotiated contracts and facilitated deals with nearly all the major national carriers and has successfully developed regional assets and created critical relationships within the telecommunications space. Michael works with numerous Fortune 1000 companies as well as small outfits to offer diverse and inventive strategies for any size business. He leads a dark fiber consulting and sales company, NEF, with an emphasis on personalized service for each client and a solutions-based approach to network planning.

·  Michael is a member of the New England Fiber Optic Council as well as the National Builders Association. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Great blog, I would agree 100% that dark fiber is getting more and difficult to get a hold of. I've been negotiating IRU's and joint builds for over 6 years and in telecom for over 20.
